Indie community welcomes Warner’s Parlophone acquisition

Even though the remaining EMI assets have gone to another major label, the indie community – much of which opposed the sale of the EMI businesses to Sony and Universal – has generally welcomed today’s news that Warner Music is to acquire the Parlophone Label Group. Welcome to the last 2011 Halloween Countdown post with Tabonga!.. Tonite we have a big bag full of colorized eye candy to hand out, here at The Dungeon! This poster is a fine example of kitsch art, and, the lobby card proudly adorns our MMM splash panel! The movie is a remake of CAT-WOMEN OF THE MOON. The music's by Nicholas Carras, who only had 23 composing credits, but, just the same, worked on these fine flicks... FEMALE JUNGLE, JUNGLE HELL, SHE DEMONS, DRAGSTRIP RIOT, FRANKENSTEIN'S DAUGHTER, HIGH SCHOOL CAESAR, DATE BAIT, HONEYMOON OF TERROR, DR. SEX, GIRL IN GOLD BOOTS, THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES, THE DOLL SQUAD and OMEGA SYNDROME. Lettuce bring in our fuzzy lil' Dungeon helper and button pusher, that 7-eyed freek, Ralphie The Tarantula!.. Welcome to Friday Night Drive-In with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. Tonite's offering is a fairly obscure (not even 1 review on IMDb!) flick made in Argentina and produced by Jack H. Harris. Jack had already made THE BLOB, THE 4-D MAN and DINOSAURUS. I swear, there was supposed to be another Blob movie recently, I wonder what happened to that project?! Hey, I used to have that poster! This movie was originally paired with another Harris production, MASTER OF TERROR, which is none other than a renamed version of THE 4-D MAN!! Pretty danged slick, Jack. I know, the title card says 'The' Master Of Horror! There are no credits for the music. Obviously, it's stock music from who knows where, so, my job's like, done here... TOUCH OF EVIL - Henry Mancini - "¿Dónde Está Mi Esposa" (1958)

"Touch Of Evil" is one of my favourite movies, and goes way beyond being merely special with an all-star cast, this film is Magnífico y Súper Fantástico!!! The Maestro Henry Mancini wrote the score, and although Henry is well known as the composer of "The Pink Panther Theme," and "Moon River," my favourite of his works will always be the timeless "Peter Gunn" theme!! Working effortlessly in all genres, including the Whitey Thomas era of the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Here's just a small snippet of how Hank could rock! You would't really think a couple of D cell batteries and a cheap $2.99 kitchen timer would be capable of causing much trouble, but.... ...this vintage Chrysler and it's passengers are about to become toast! This movie starts off with about a four minute single shot that follows the car right to the point where it explodes, while at the same time introducing the stars Charlton Heston and Janet Leigh as Mike and Susan Varga
