Eminem Too Expensive for 'Glee' Hit musical comedy 'Glee' may be one of the most successful shows on television, but they're not big enough for Eminem. The Fox series, which has built itself into a $500 million dollar brand, has featured performances of popular songs like Rihanna's 'Take a Bow ,' Cee-Lo's ubiquitious 'F--- You' and several Billy Joel standards, but Slim Shady's music was reportedly too expensive for the show. In a candid interview, 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy explained that they had planned to perform Em's '8 Mile' anthem 'Lose Yourself' on the show, but were unable to afford the license, which would have cost them a whopping $200,000.
