Welcome to the last 2011 Halloween Countdown post with Tabonga!.. Tonite we have a big bag full of colorized eye candy to hand out, here at The Dungeon! This poster is a fine example of kitsch art, and, the lobby card proudly adorns our MMM splash panel! The movie is a remake of CAT-WOMEN OF THE MOON. The music's by Nicholas Carras, who only had 23 composing credits, but, just the same, worked on these fine flicks... FEMALE JUNGLE, JUNGLE HELL, SHE DEMONS, DRAGSTRIP RIOT, FRANKENSTEIN'S DAUGHTER, HIGH SCHOOL CAESAR, DATE BAIT, HONEYMOON OF TERROR, DR. The basic premise is the Munster family has rented out their house to a rock band for a week, and they in turn went to a Hotel, but it's all too bright and clean, so they decide to return home! When the family returns home, it's like "Splish, Splash," and there's a huge party going on! They are greeted at the door by two party-goers, a bearded Zalman King and Sue Winton as The Girl! It's Friday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. Our feature was written and directed by Georges Méliès, and, plays Prof. Barbenfouillis in this early sci-fi short from France. Estimated budget was 30,000 Francs. The story is based on the books "From the Earth to the Moon" by Jules Verne and "The First Men in the Moon" by H. G. Wells. Georges had, get this, 553 short movie directing credits from 1896 to 1913!!
