Welcome to a special Friday the 13th, Friday Night Drive-In Theater with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. Tonite's total trainwreck sadly stars Robert (THE MAN FROM PLANET X) Clarke and Ann (THE WAR OF THE WORLDS) Robinson. One of the reviews on IMDb cracked me up, the reviewer was upset that you cannot give a film zero stars! The 'story' goes about like this... A Martian begins to attack the patrons and staff of a movie theater as a 'Republic' sci-fi serial plays there one night in the fifties. Original title is MIDNIGHT MOVIE MASSACRE. The original music is by Bill Crain, who has 4 composing credits, but, no telling where the tunes in the movie came from... Lettuce bring in our littlest of all Dungeon helpers and button pushers, the lover of rotten fruit and vegetables, Rufus The Gnat!.. Howdy, Rufus! The little weirdo is here to start our soundclip, so, push the big red 'GO' button there by the box of dynamite, now, Rufus! Here's some noise from.....
I searched and searched for a copy of "Catalina Caper," for a couple of years after reading that it had a cracking soundtrack! It's kind of like an extension of the beach blanket bongo scene as quasi-thriller, and I'm not sure what's older, the story or the kids, but I am sure they had a great time on the island over the course of a weekend with Director Lee "Rollem" Sholem at the helm! You know, it's like this, "Okay, somebody start a bonfire, now everybody start dancing, Roll camera! Yeah!! That's a take!! Smoke 'em if you got 'em! Next!!" Tommy Kirk has two roles, one as himself and the other as the girl he falls in love with! Tommy Kirk is in the the deepest part of the 'Dungeon Hall Of Fame' and never fails to deliver an all-star performance no matter what film he's in! Actually the girl is Ulla Strömstedt, the multi-lingual Swedish beauty probably best known for her role as Ulla Norstrand on the "Flipper...
Welcome to Monster Monday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. Tonite's feature is a reprise of a previous post of this title, but, this time we're bringing it to you in COLOR!! Also, like our last post, this is a movie from the great year of 1955! Nothing sez 'big ugly thing' better than blaring horns! Lettuce bring in our Monster Monday Helper, sure 'nuf, good old Rufus The Gnat! Rufus is here to push the big red 'GO' button and start the show. Push the button now, Rufus, here's... IT CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA In Color! Enjoy the pretty pitchers!.. Kenneth Tobey, on the left, will forever be remembered as Captain Patrick Hendry in THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD, the guy was totally awesome with 205 acting credits!! So then, he's perfect here as submarine Commander Pete Mathews. Him and the crew brace themselves for a hit by something big! Here's Donald Curtis and Faith Domergue as atomic bee keepers!! Don plays Dr. John Carter, Faith plays Profe...
